A Special Thanksgiving Message from the Writers

LaVila Henry
"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness".....Isaiah 16:10a.

Besides being thankful for the amazing journey that brought Paul and I to Lubbock in September, I am thankful for the robe of righteousness that was purchased for me by my Saviour, Jesus Christ. At times I feel so unworthy of all His blessings. But then I picture myself in a robe, snow white and beautiful. It is my garment of salvation, a gift from my Lord. As I see myself in that robe, I am able to come boldly to the throne of Grace to ask for the help I need. (Hebrews 4:16)

It is amazing that God made a way for all whose righteousness is as filthy rags to come with the unblemished righteousness of Jesus Christ and approach God's throne. Isn't God good?! Just one of the plethora of things to be thankful for during this Thanksgiving season. Have a blessed week.

I am thankful for who God is, I am thankful that I can trust in and rely on Him, I am thankful for His never ending care of little ol' me. I am thankful for my husband, whom God knew as the man, husband and father he would become when I would not have had the sense to pick out such a man for myself. I am thankful for healthy and loving children. And I am grateful for the godly women that God has given me as friends. Life has never been better. I am truly blessed. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I am thankful that even when we get tired of life as we know it, that we have a God Who never gets tired of us as He knows us!

I'm thankful for Jesus, God's most wonderful gift to us. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband and kids, my family and my family-in-law, my friends. I'm thankful for the internet by which I can keep in touch with most of my family and friends. I'm thankful for healing, pretty good health and my little home :-). I'm thankful for God's provision, and the generous people through whom he has provided at various times. I'm thankful for freedom and joy and peace that's always there for us. I'm thankful for truth and wisdom given to us without reproach. I'm thankful for our future hope. I'm thankful for God's amazing love in which we are bound together as one. I'm thankful for the church that has been a blessing and a challenge and a revelation of the manifold wisdom of God.

I am thankful for being loved. Loved by God-loved by family-loved by friends. No greater gift has been given me and for that gift of life and love I am ever thankful to my God who reigns in our lives and is King of the Universe. Even though I had great parents, I am so thankful for my God who is so patient with me, knows how to prod me and disciplines me so that I will not fall off of the face of the earth because of stupidity. All I can say, is THANK YOU FATHER...you are the greatest!
